Mix-n-Mingle Community Get Together

We’re proposing a get together for all our residents at Pocket Park on Sunday, March 26 beginning at 3pm. We hope everyone will come along and join us for a social hour or two, and we invite everyone to bring along a plate of nibbles/finger food for a shared afternoon tea. Please also bring along your own refreshments. Tables and chairs will be provided by the Resident’s Association Committee. This will be an opportunity for everyone to meet and greet and chat informally with their neighbours.

Pocket Park – Sunday March 26 – 3pm! See you there!

Speed Limit Reminder

One of the comments we often get from our residents is that motorists are not keeping to the speed limit in the estate. The feeling is that very often the culprits are not our residents, but visitors to the area. So perhaps we could politely remind all our visitors that the speed limit in our resort is 40 km/h. That is important to help us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Storm Damage and Property Maintenance

The Resident’s Association committee has had a challenging 12 months working to keep our estate looking its very best, which has been the culmination of bad weather and storms, along with the NZ wide problem of contractors trying to find staff.

At the moment we think the area is looking as good as it ever has, and we're working hard to keep it like that with the help of very good contractors. Generally, the standard of private property is very high but there is the odd property that could be better. We understand the challenges around this, and we would ask everyone to do their best to stay on top of things and keep their lawns, gardens and buildings as neat and tidy as they can. It’s to everyone’s benefit if we can do that.

Lawn Clippings

It has been brought to our attention that some of our residents have been spreading their lawn clippings around the trunks of trees on our reserves which is causing some problems. While this can be acceptable in some cases, it can also cause damage to the trees by weakening the tree’s trunks and can even result in the death of the tree. So, if you have been doing this, could we ask that you cease doing so to protect our trees!

Huka Fall Resort Resident’s Association Website

Just a reminder that we have our own website, which you will find at: www.hukafallsrra.com

The website contains minutes of all the Resident’s Association committee meetings to keep everyone informed.  You can check out the minutes by clicking here: https://www.hukafallsrra.com/ra-info

AGM Planning

You may recall that at last year’s AGM, it was agreed that the Annual General Meeting should be held within three months of the end of the financial year. As was pointed out then, it is not always possible to meet this requirement because we are dependent on a number of third parties fulfilling statutory obligations. Nevertheless, your committee is moving ahead with preparations for the AGM, and we are hopeful that we will be able to do so within that time-period. Of course, we will give everyone plenty of advanced notice of the AGM.

Conclusion

Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing everyone at Pocket Park at 3pm on Sunday March 26.

With kind regard

Kim Manunui

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.

Collaboratively we are creative, share sustainable values and work hard for great outcomes because that’s the buzz of satisfaction that drives us.

If you have an audience and market to reach, we can make that happen. Creative design, words that work and smart behind the scenes stuff that cuts through the online noise. We’ll design your website and then build it. We’ll manage the content as well as all your hosting needs. We can handle your online advertising so you get noticed,
and we’ll manage your social media presence so you get the clicks, likes and engagement to grow your business. All within the budget you set, because none of this needs to cost the earth.  And the job doesn’t stop when your website goes live. We are your virtual business partner.
